Privacy policy

Mailboxes and More (“we”, “us”) is a family owned shop at 1474 University Ave, Berkeley, CA 94702. This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit this website. The short version: this is a simple information page, we do not ask you for personal details here, and we do not sell anything about you to anyone.

What we collect on this site

This website has no forms, accounts, or sign ups, and we do not use advertising or analytics cookies. We do not knowingly collect personal information through it.

Like nearly every website, the company that hosts it automatically records basic technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of the visit. These server logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and are not used to identify you.

The map

Our hours and directions section includes an embedded Google Map. When it loads, Google may receive information such as your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy. The “Get directions” buttons open Google Maps directly.

When you call or visit the shop

If you call us or come in, we use what you share (like your name, phone number, or shipping details) only to help you with what you asked for, such as sending a package or setting up a mailbox. Shipping details are passed to the carrier you choose (for example UPS, FedEx, or USPS) so they can deliver your package, and those carriers handle it under their own privacy policies.

Your California privacy rights

We do not sell or share personal information for advertising. If you are a California resident, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. Just give us a call or stop by, and we will help.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
